Purposefully weakening the US military, either overtly or through silent enablement, especially now in this climate, seems as if one has made the decision to be a willing foreign asset.
I remember back when Grassley truly did want what was right for Iowans and the US. And I voted for him in those days. But he has become only a space-taker-upper with no grasp on what effect these (non) actions of his and his party are having. I never thought I'd say this, but kudos to Joni for doing what is right and standing up in front of all those who object to it.
Agree! But let's not give either Iowa Senator any kudos for being silent enablers of Trump for years now. If either had any guts, Trump would be in a bit of political trouble. But no, they sit silently awaiting his nomination. Do they really hope to serve under a criminal regime?
Is there any historical precedent, from either a R or D being the Senator who abused power? Interesting how McConnell does not support Tuperville, but McConnell and all other R Senators abused power with SCOTUS judicial appointees.
Grassley continues to disappoint. His reputation has been shattered by his inertia in the Senate, time and time again.

Grassley’s effectiveness as a U.S. Senator is long past its expiration date.

Many have abused their power. None, however, as blatantly as Tuberville and never so broadly with its affect on national security.
