Maybe when “American democracy is over and American justice has died,” he’ll finally frickin’ RETIRE.

Jim, speaking: Grassley is a ZERO, NOTHING, a NOBODY —as are the balance of IOWA's representatives in Washington D.C. IOWA was once a leader in education and straight thinking abilities - that reputation is LONG GONE, NO LONGER IN EXISTENCE — blown out of the state by a FREAK storm —the result of a FREAK G.O.P. hoodwinked by a FREAK POTUS who's never LEGITIMATELY been who he's claimed to be. GRASSLEY'S LEGACY: Closing the barn door when it is empty — it took him how long to accomplish this? I'm not the least bit proud.

Chuck's legacy will be one of a disgusting, pathetic old man who stood by and watched the destruction of our civil protections by a lawless republican administration that came at us and after us, not in a slow drip by drip way, but with massive destruction coming quickly and in broad daylight. He will be remembered for that and nothing else.

Great points. Grassley raised a peep about Putin recently, but really just a whisper. It’s sad to see him holding town halls when he doesn’t seem to hear the dissent voiced in them.

His inaction is a direct form of detrimental action. No longer can he hide behind his self perpetrated myth of watchdog and gentleman farmer. He’s become a toady and a fool. I’m generously giving him a pass and not calling him a liar, complicit with a criminal.

Barry (chicken little) Piatt. Your entire column is based on nothing more than what might happen: the sky is falling. Your writing skills, or lack there of, would be of better use to American citizens by sticking to facts and not letting your TDS daily get the best of you. Oh, and 45/47’s approval rating is not “plummeting.” I always thought journalists were bound by facts. Oh, that’s right - you’re not a journalist - you’re just pretending to be one.
