Spoken like a true reporter of fact, not Fox News diatrides! It is time to rein in this Trumpanzee Congressional circus, and take back control with a better outlook to the future of America! Enough of these money grubbing, insane and dictator loving incompetent fascists! Turn them out as quickly as possible and let's start with Miller-Meeks and keep right on going from there!

Barry, is there anyone on the republican side of the aisle who has any institutional memory about what the job of the legislators in the House of Representatives actually is or have the Tea Party, Young Guns, MAGA movement, Et al, completely erased that kind of knowledge in the Republican Party? Is there anyone on that side of the aisle who has any institutional memory?

Yes. Some do and don’t care because they are afraid of their base and want to be re-elected above all else.. Others have never been that committed to democracy anyway - they have always been all about power and doing whatever it takes to win it. And then there are those who genuinely think this is how the game is played because it’s the only way they’ve seen it played.

Mitt Romney has tgat institutionsl memory and that’s one of the reasons he’s leaving. He can’t stand to see what it has become. Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham are opportunists and lack a moral compass in these things.

The biggest problem isn’t that too many don’t know how Cingress is supposed to work. They know. They just don’t care because they are willingly consumed by hypervpsrtisanship.

That’s my view anyway.

It is all just the sad, dangerous truth isn’t it?

Yes. The silver lining is that at least now we know who are real friends of democracy - and those who are not. I used to think we all shared at least that. But apparently, no.
