Unlike most Iowans I’ve never been a fan of or respected Chuck Grassley. He would get a lot of press as a so called watchdog for focusing on minor outlandish expenditures and such but couldn’t see the forest for the trees. It’s long past time to put him out to pasture.

“I can only speak for Chuck Grassley.” (Silence)

What a sad legacy this elected US Senator will leave behind: abandoning all integrity and courage.

Every single one of the people from the state of Iowa who serve in Congress are a disgrace to their office, to our state, and to themselves. They are leaving a horrible legacy to their children and grandchildren.

Sadly, true. How did this happen? Iowans used to send people of real quality to Congress - Harkin, Bedell, Smith, etc.No more.

Greedy Grassley loves his spot at the government gravy trough: "Charles E Grassley

This recipient received $458,873 in farm subsidies directly from USDA" His son has cashed checks for $1,484,143 in farm subsidies directly from USDA. And his grandson, Speaker of the Iowa House Fat Cat Pat received $65,102 in farm subsidies directly from USDA. Now that Greedy Grassley ("GG" for short) has formed Grassley Family Farms, L.L.C., 31705 Westbrook Street, Cedar Falls, IA 50613, look for the government gravy get a new address. Through 2023, GG's welfare checks have been sent to his mansion in Arlington, VA.

Just truly disgusting. When we're talking about getting rid of the 'fat' in government, it appears it can start right here. I wonder how he sleeps at night

It sounds like he sleeps pretty well - day or night.

After reading your comments, also motivated by Denise O'Brien, why can't the opposition to Musk/Trump/Vance (MTV) hold their hearings? As noted Nunn will not have any hearings asking people to talk about how cuts and policies are harming Iowans. I broadly think of opposition as IDP, Demo legislators, potential statewide candidates for statewide offices and advocacy groups.. I know the national party is now leading on this. Since Iowans know how to do grassroots organizing? why aren't they doing it? there are enough issues and communities to hold hearings every day..

I appreciate your Farm Bill updates. Nunn is our person from the 3rd district. Cindy Axne was out here visiting, having town meetings and bringing home lots of rural development assistance for child care buildings. Nunn has shown up to ribbon cuttings he had no business showing up for. That was Axne’s work. He has had no public meetings. He sneaks in and out of town attending private meetings. We find out about it after he’s left town.
