I have had no response of any kind from Senator Ernst. Your column is so helpful in naming what they are dismantling, and I will use it in making my phone calls and responding to whatever missives I receive.

It will indeed be interesting to see if any of Iowa's senators or representatives hold town meetings while on break. Rep. Nunn has never held a town meeting. So much for being answerable to his (and their) constituents.
They know their lack of pushback is dishonorable and indefensible. That's why, if they do respond to a constituent's letter, the response has nothing to do with the subject.
